(SS)  Our client is a value-added processor and distributor of metal, plastic and related industrial products and services and have grown over their 160+ years in business on a tradition of excellence/dependability and have emerged as a leading source for fabricated metal products and related processing services. They manufacture and supply the broadest range of steel and plastic strapping, hand tools, edge protection, stretch film material and equipment, as well as standard and custom engineered unitizing equipment. You will be generating new business through outside sales activities such as cold calling, prospecting, telemarketing, referrals, territory planning and relationship building; accountable for focusing on and generating new business through new sales in primarily medium to large size accounts and will deal most frequently with the end-user by making formal sales presentations, product demonstrations, advise customers on industrial transport packaging and loading patterns and follow-up calls to prospective new business accounts. They are looking for an assertive, results-oriented sales professional with a packaging/strapping-type industry background with 3+ year’s successful selling experience, top ranking in their current sales force, highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple product lines while maintaining existing accounts and developing new business. You will maintain relationships with the existing customer base you will inherit and target “key”  Mill accounts while generating new business through outside sales activities such as cold calls, prospecting, telemarketing, territory planning and relationship building. Compensation is commensurate with your industry experience, ranging to $60k+/- with an uncapped strong commissions program…that will have you in the 85-105k+/- range OTE. Also included are a company car and/or generous monthly care allowance , attractive benefits, matching 401k, all business-related expenses reimbursed. Location – ideally, based upon the existing business you will be given, the size of marketplace, and access to two airports our client would ideally like this person to be based in the Chicago or St. Louis area.
